Tulsa Masters 2013 Annual Meeting Minutes‏

Hello, Tulsa Masters swimmers Attached are the minutes from the annual club meeting held November 2. Thanks to everyone who attended. I appreciate your willingness to be involved. Other things you might want to know: 1) RENEW your USMS membership for 2014, www.usms.org/reg. If you swim at the Jenks Trojan Aquatic Center in a masters workout, you are required by JCE to be a member of USMS- even for those of us who will never participate in a swim meet or any other masters sanctioned event.. This same rule applies to the kids who swim in age group workouts, they must be members of USA Swimming, even if they are not yet ready for a USA Swimming sanctioned meet. 2)CHRISTMAS PARTY-- DECEMBER 14th --- PERRYMAN RANCH We will RSVP again this year through JCE. Watch for my email to tell you when it is ready to go. We need RSVPs in order to order the food. All the details coming soon. Please open that email! :) 3)College Dual Meet at the Jenks Trojan Aquatic Center, December 14-15. Texas Christian University vs Missouri State. This will be a fun event to watch! There hasn't been a college meet in the Tulsa area in ???? years! Each of these teams recruits swimmers from the Tulsa area. I know Missouri State currently has at least one Tulsa swimmer on the team. 4)Lighthouse Meet SEVEN Tulsa Masters members (plus a support crew) travelled to OKC on November 9th for the Lighthouse meet. We all had fun. Congrats to Jake Snow for swimming in his first masters meet! 5) Last but never the least: Congrats to Andrea Gillman for her state record setting performance in the 400 IM this weekend at the JTSC Gobbler Meet. Andrea's husband, 2 kids, high school coach, and masters coach (George!) all witnessed her incredible swim. She SAYS she will never swim it again!
