Hello Swimming friends! The annual April Pools meet at Jenks Trojan Aquatic Center is this SATURDAY, APRIL 20th!! If you don't intend to swim in the meet, PLEASE consider VOLUNTEERING! A list of volunteer needs can be found at this link: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/30E0C44AEA82FA31-april We still need 13 timers, 1 more person to help me at the registration table, and two more people in the computer room. Your family and friends can help. We will train you! Please add your name to the link above as soon as possible so that I know these positions are covered...and thus relieve my stress. REFRESHMENTS: In an effort to defray costs ( and use the money for something else... like the Christmas Party!) we are asking club members to bring refreshments for the hospitality room.These refreshments are available to all swimmers, volunteers and officials during the meet. Not only do we need swimmers to enter (now), we also need volunteers and refreshment donations for the hospitality room! A meet cannot happen without volunteers. Tulsa Masters Road Trips!

Hey, Swimmers! It is not too late to join your fellow swimmers for road trips to OKC on Saturday, March 30th for the Rose State Meet and to Austin, Tx, April 5 -7. March 30th Rose State Meet, Midwest City, warm up 10:45, meet starts at 11:45. Download the entry form from www.okswim.org. Deck entries accepted, $25. We will probably be leaving Tulsa by 9 am. April 5-7, South Central Zone SCY Championships, Austin, Texas. SUNDAY MARCH 31st is the LAST DAY TO REGISTER ONLINE for this meet. No qualifying times, FAST, FAMOUS Pool at the University of Texas. THANK YOU! - Jenks Swim Meet

With the close of the very successful Speedo Sectional Championship Meet last night, our short course meet marathon is officially OVER! I don't know any club or organization that has hosted 4 major meets in 3 weeks-- Park and Rec Championships, High School State, Age Groups and Sectionals. I want to thank each and every volunteer; it was a total team effort. Any time we asked, "can anyone do this?", we had two people who stepped up. To everyone who parked cars, brought food, squeegied the deck, took tickets, ran the console, stocked drinks, worked in the fish bowl, lane timed, copied papers, sold nachos, labelled awards, organized swimmers, or did the other thousand things it takes to run a successful meet, THANK YOU!! This really should not have been possible, but we did it! The meet organizers and spectators at each of these events were universally postive about what great people we have in such a great facility. Thank you for making us all look great! Please make sure and join us for the After Party tomorrow from 5 to 7 pm in Frank Herald Gym--we deserve it! Bring your family, and an appetizer or dessert to share; see you then! JTSC
