PLEASE! Volunteer!! Support our sport!

One last plea to all Swimmers, friends of swimmers, and anyone interested in doing a good deed! The Oklahoma HS State Swimming meet and the Oklahoma Age Group Swimming Championships are successfully completed! Thanks to all of you who gave of your time for those meets! Whether you had a kid swimming and had to be at the pool anyway, or you gave of your time out of the goodness in your heart, THANK YOU!!! ONE MORE BIG EVENT TO GO!! *USA Swimming/ Speedo Region VIII Sectionals Swim Meet, March 7- 10, 2013, Jenks Trojan Aquatic Center Volunteer for at least TWO Sessions and receive a FREE, very cool, SECTIONALS t-shirt. Just a few quick details: the morning sessions are prelims. Both ends of the pool will be utilized, which makes the meet go much faster. BUT it also requires more timers!!! The evening sessions are finals. The top 16 swimmers from each event in the morning session are rewarded by swimming again in the evening session! Can you imagine swimming the 200 Fly TWICE in one day!! :) Our help is definitely needed and appreciated. No experience necessary. We will train you. Below is the link to the online volunteer sign up. Various shifts are available so don't think you have to be there all day, unless you want to! The online sign up will also show you who else has committed and when they are working. The volunteer coordinator (Emily) prefers that you sign up now so that she knows how many slots she needs to fill. Below are the instructions for Masters swimmers to volunteer at the Sectionals meet, March 7-10. There is special need for volunteers in the following areas: • Hytek and console operators. • Volunteers for week day sessions • Volunteers with swim meet experience to work as a head timer or runner at all sessions. Of course, the regular, behind the block, timers are also needed. Best seat in the house! And we will train you if haven't been a timer before. No worries! It is easy and fun! INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE ON LINE VOLUNTEER SIGN - UP: Go to the Jenks Trojan Swim Club site at www.jenksswimclub.com Click on the “Sign In” button. Enter ‘jenksswimms@gmail.com’ in the E-MAIL BOX and ‘jtscvolunteer’ for the PASSWORD. Once you are logged on, click on the “MEETS/EVENTS” button to the right of the main screen. A list of upcoming meets will appear. Scroll down until you see the “Sectionals Championships” meet. Click on the “Job Signup” button under the Sectionals meet. You should then see a list of volunteer jobs with the various shifts. Click on the check box for the job(s) and time period(s) you would like to sign-up for and then click on the “Signup” button. A pop-up will appear asking for your “optional contact info”. Please, enter your contact information (email address, name, phone #, etc.) so that we can send reminder emails and information regarding any changes to session times. At a minimum, we need your name so that we will know who has signed up. Once you click “Sign Up”, you will see your information listed next to the shifts you signed up for. I've already signed up and these instructions worked perfectly. If you have any difficulties, please contact Emily Forbes at emily.forbes@hilti.com, George at george.villarreal@jenksps.org, or myself, Denise at denises@webzone.net Hope to see you ON DECK this weekend!!! Thanks! Denise Smart Tulsa Masters Swim Club

  1. Вut it's always wise to check in with a doctor before you start using a supplement regularly. This means you have to answer to all these people when they ask for a report. This type of exercise will increase your cardiovascular endurance, improve your flexibility, increase your muscle strength, improve your balance and can actually reduce the risk of osteoporosis.
