Reminders...

Hello swimmers!!

A friendly reminder that the ROSE STATE swim meet in Midwest City, OK is NEXT Saturday, March 5. Warm-up at 12:15 pm, meet starts at 1:15 pm. Come one, come all. It's been a while since we've had a meet. You can find the entry form and all the details at http://oklahomamastersswimclub.com/SwimEvents/RoseState/11RSFlyer.pdf.
Janet Latham is the meet director: janet.latham@okc.gov

Tulsa area swimmers, please email me if you plan to go to the meet and are interested in carpooling.

The next sanctioned masters event in Oklahoma is APRIL 9th in Tulsa, OK. The annual April Pools Swim Meet at Booker T. Washington HS. I'll be your meet director again this year, denises@webzone.net. You can find the entry form at http://tulsamsc.blogspot.com. Just scroll down until you see the entry form, click on it, print it. I'll be bugging you again about attending this meet after we complete the Rose State meet.

There are a couple of other events organized by masters swimmers in which you may have interest:

1)Saturday March 26th 10 am: Hutcherson YMCA Strong Kids campaign organized by Nick Irving, masters swimmer and awesome Aquatics Director at the Hutcherson YMCA, Pine & Peoria, Tulsa, OK. Help a kid get swimming lessons by participating in your favorite pool event. Choose from 100 x 50s, walking 100 loops in the lazy river, or 100 trips down the slide. Something for everyone. Please see the attached poster for details or email Nick Iriving, nirving@ymcatulsa.org. You DO NOT have to be a YMCA member or a USMS member to participate in this fundraising event.

2) Also on March 26th, 1:30 pm in Okarche, OK, the 'March in Okarche Duathlon'. Okay, so no swimming involved but Desiree Margagliano, a Tulsa Masters Swim Club member, is the race director for this Tri-OKC event. Find more info at http://www.triokc.org/?page_id=5, or email Desiree, desiree-margagliano@ouhsc.edu.

That's all for now. Keep swimming!!
